ZEN in Brussel

ZEN is the project for the conversion of Towers 1 & 2 of the WTC complex in the Brussels North Quarter. The existing towers, after being dismantled, will be connected by a new 14-story double-height volume.

In this way, the ZEN project brings together different functions in an extremely innovative way. Living, working and life are accommodated in one building.

Like the stripes of a zebra, the functions are intertwined, so we speak of the zebra concept. Because of this mix of functions, there will always be plenty of life in the building, seven days a week.

ZEN is a multifunctional project of approximately 110,000 m² above ground, including 75,000 m² of offices, 14,000 m² of residential units, 16,000 m² of hotel, sports areas, catering and commercial businesses.

ZEN will be fully integrated into the existing urban ecosystem and open to the city. Both through its architecture and design and respect for the environment, ZIN can be considered an example of an innovative and progressive project. For example, the project is energy-neutral and strongly focused on circularity.

About 70,000 m² of office space has already been fully pre-leased to the Flemish government. The remaining 5,000 m² are available for lease and have completely separate entrances and private terraces.

The project will be fully completed by early 2024.
